Fat Cells That Can Help You Lose Weight!
Believe it or not, we have THREE different types of fat cells: WHITE, BROWN and BEIGE.
White fat cells store fat, while brown fat cells utilize the fat to produce energy (Heat). This means they can burn the calories for you! So what are Beige cells? They are functionally related to brown cells, meaning they can burn calories too, but are located in white-fat cells.
So is it possible to transform or replace some of our WHITE fat cells with BEIGE fat cells to use up our fat stores and to put our BROWN fat cells to more work?
Science says YES! But How?
Scientists suggest that more brown fat becomes active when a person sits in a room of 61 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit. A study done in 2014 found that sleeping at a temperature of 66 degrees as opposed to 75 degrees can nearly DOUBLED the volume of brown fat in the body! So turn down those thermostats!!
Other studies have also found that increasing your exercise can increase number of BROWN fat cells and encourage more fat burning for those BROWN fat cells you already have!
As for converting WHITE fat cells to BEIGE fat cells, the science is still underway! But researchers have found that the process can be done, by secondary bile acids, which are generated by our liver and gut bacteria.
So how do we get more of those bile acids into our system to rev up our engine and transform those WHITE fat cells to FAT burning cells?? We might be close to the answer.......Stay tuned!
